BUTTERCUPS DAY OUT October
The forecast was for 12 degrees at Marysville, I sent an email to the ladies the night before, suggesting warm jackets are recommended.
Leaving the bowling club at 9:45am, we had a break for morning tea in the gardens at the base of Maroondah Reservoir. (Morning tea was provided by the coach company).
On arrival at “Bruno’s Sculpture Garden” Bruno gave us an interesting talk on how and why he purchased the property and survived “Black Saturday”. We sensed the emotion still in his voice.
Setting off around the garden in small groups, cameras were clicking, and laughter could be heard all around. What an amazing place to visit. Just beating the rain, we boarded the coach and headed for the bakery to buy our lunch. Socializing with a group of ladies from the Monbulk Probus Club before heading for home. Kylie, our driver was entertaining and punctual, getting us safely back to the bowling club at 4pm.
